11 bit studios is hiring a Senior/Expert Technical Artist to work on Frostpunk 1886. The role involves close collaboration with artists and programmers to create high-quality materials and technical art solutions in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5).

Wymagania

For a senior position:
- Good knowledge of UE materials and shading workflows.
- Solid understanding of the UE5 rendering pipeline, including PBR and post-processing.
- Experience with UE Blueprints for tools or gameplay-supporting systems.
- Practical approach to problem-solving and good understanding of optimization.
- At least one shipped title or completed commercial project.
For an expert position:
- Deep, production-proven knowledge of UE5 materials, shaders, and rendering.
- Experience designing scalable material, shader, and technical art workflows.
- Strong understanding of GPU performance, profiling, and optimization.
- Ability to take ownership of complex technical and visual problems and drive them to resolution.
- Experience mentoring other artists and defining technical best practices.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of VFX or lighting.
Experience with procedural workflows (e.g., Substance Designer or other node-based tools).
Familiarity with shader languages such as HLSL or GLSL.
Background in 3D software such as Blender, 3ds Max, or Maya.
Experience working closely with both artists and programmers.

Obowiązki

Create high-quality materials and shaders in UE5.
Build and maintain Blueprint- and code-based tools for the art team.
Create and update documentation for tools, workflows, and engine limitations.
Help with optimization, profiling, and debugging in the final product.
Collaborate with Art Leads, Technical Directors, programmers, and QA to ensure assets meet technical requirements.
