Software Engineer (Java)

Keepit provides a cloud-to-cloud backup platform that protects critical SaaS data for organizations worldwide, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Entra ID, Dynamics 365, and Zendesk. The platform is a distributed, high-availability system ensuring immutable, historical data archives and data protection from ransomware and accidental loss. The role is based in the Kraków office where a Java team is being built.

• 5+ years of backend Java development experience
• Solid experience with the Spring Boot ecosystem and RESTful API design
• Experience with KeyCloak and good understanding of authentication and authorization systems
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Docker and containerized solutions
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Strong initiative and proactive mindset with willingness to share knowledge
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions

• Lead technical design and architecture for features and services, ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Support, and Operations teams to resolve issues and deliver improvements
• Maintain high code quality through clear documentation, thorough code review, and architectural improvements
• Ensure system reliability, including error handling, observability, and scalability
• Mentor and grow other developers; act as a technical authority on the team
