Senior Mobile Engineer - React Native, Platform/Infrastructure (all genders)

HelloFresh operates the HelloTech organisation, a global technology backbone with more than 1000 people building digital products powering an end-to-end food experience. This includes meal kits, ready-to-eat meals, specialty offerings like pet food and premium meat & seafood, serving millions of customers monthly using a subscription-based direct-to-consumer model.

• Hands-on experience working with AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot), with practical sense of context engineering for AI outputs
• Deep, production-tested expertise in React Native, with strong knowledge of native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) platforms including native code bridging and app store release processes
• Experience using AI coding agents in production or near-production work, including structuring specifications and introducing guardrails
• Proven track record managing and optimizing workflows, linting, caching, and build times for large engineering organizations (50+ developers)
• Experience managing complex build configurations, white-label scaling, and monorepo architectures
• Comfortable with high autonomy, making sound technical decisions in ambiguous situations, and supporting teams during complex production incidents
• Deep mobile engineering expertise spanning app release cycles, test automation, on-device performance, and platform UX conventions
• Exceptional ability to influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams through expertise, communication, and collaboration
• Strong ownership mindset with bias to ship and finish work
• Product sense, able to back opinions with data and user evidence

• Contribute to executing the brownfield-to-greenfield React Native migration within the white-labeled, multi-brand app ecosystem
• Support concurrent development in the React Native monorepo and maintain shared npm packages used across mobile and web
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Bitrise and evaluate future migration to Expo
• Design and extend end-to-end test coverage using Maestro to improve release quality
• Build and maintain observability solutions including tracing and dashboards in Honeycomb
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager and teammates to review technical solutions and embed good engineering practices
• Investigate and resolve production issues to improve application stability and reliability
• Write clear technical documentation such as design proposals and architecture decision records (ADRs)
