Senior Mobile Product Engineer, Intelligent Platforms (all genders)

Work with HelloFresh in Warsaw and its HelloTech organisation, HelloFresh’s global technology backbone with more than 1000 people, building the digital products that power our end-to-end food experience. The team Behavioral Data & Experimentation is a cross-functional platform team owning digital tracking globally, building tracking, event, and statistical infrastructure that drives product decisions.

• Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) daily with practical context management.
• Extensive mobile engineering experience (5+ years) with strong native depth, ideally on Android (Kotlin).
• Flexible, cross-platform mindset to work across mobile and web codebases.
• Proficiency leveraging GenAI to increase development speed, quality, and team output.
• Commitment to engineering excellence through high-quality codebases, system stability, and resilient infrastructure.
• Experience building and maintaining automated tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Proven ownership in ambiguous, cross-functional environments working with engineering, product, and data teams.
• Deep mobile engineering expertise covering app release cycle, test automation, performance, and UX conventions.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Product sense with opinions backed by data and user evidence.
• Bias to ship and complete projects fully.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Own integration and evolution of tracking and experimentation SDKs (Snowplow, Statsig, or equivalent) across Android native and React Native layers.
• Solve native mobile telemetry challenges including lifecycle events, background sync, offline event buffering, and native bridges.
• Embed AI-driven workflows into platform tooling to increase automation and data quality.
• Implement robust automated testing, error handling, and release practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, software, and data engineers to evolve platform offerings.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to team-wide engineering standards.
• Own app experience metrics: retention, crash-free sessions, and conversion.
• Operate what you build by instrumenting, monitoring, and improving production systems.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with client-side signals flow into downstream systems such as GTM and Snowplow.
• Hands-on experience with iOS development (Swift).
• Experience with Web frontend development (React, TypeScript, browser telemetry).
• Basic backend or data engineering context (Node.js, Python, REST/gRPC APIs, data pipelines).
