QA Engineering Manager

CD PROJEKT RED is a company focused on creating revolutionary, story-driven RPG games such as The Witcher and Cyberpunk series.

• Minimum 5 years experience in the games or software industry in similar leadership roles.
• Strong engineering background including tools, automation, infrastructure, engine, backend or systems programming.
• Experience developing or overseeing automated test frameworks, with Unreal Engine experience a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, build farms, automated deployments, and integrating automated tests.
• Skillful in scripting or tools such as Python, TypeScript, C# for automation or process improvements.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine tools, frameworks, and processes.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
• Experience setting up or improving QA Engineering processes for cross-functional or agile teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• AAA game development or experience in complex real-time systems.
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud technologies like Docker, AWS, GCP.
• Appreciation for CD PROJEKT RED’s games and worlds.

• Build and lead the QA Engineering team focusing on The Witcher 4, Cyberpunk 2, Sirius, and future titles.
• Execute and evolve QA Engineering strategy to support current needs and future cross-project capabilities.
• Oversee design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks, tools, and diagnostics used by QA and development teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Production to integrate testing frameworks and tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish and monitor QA Engineering metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement process and tooling improvements for testability and development efficiency.
• Manage risks and dependencies related to QA Engineering work.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and career development for QA Engineers.
• Support planning and resource allocation balancing short-term and long-term initiatives.
• Communicate status, impact, and roadmap of QA Engineering work across relevant stakeholders.

Work mode: office-first, minimum 3 days from the office at Warsaw headquarters. Type of contract: Employment Contract (Umowa o pracę).
