Java Full Stack Engineer

Our Client is one of the world's largest global banks, a leader in digital transformation of banking services, with a major technological center in Cracow, Poland. Verita HR is an international recruitment company specializing in the Fintech, Finance, and Banking market in EMEA.

• Strong proficiency in Java with backend development experience
• Solid understanding of SRE concepts including monitoring, alerting, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus, PromQL, exporters, metrics instrumentation, and alerting rules
• Experience integrating with Grafana including dashboards, data sources, alerting APIs, and configuration automation
• Understanding of reliability and observability engineering: high availability, fault tolerance, timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, rate limiting, idempotency, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing
• Understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with at least one frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) is a big plus
• Experience with software testing including JUnit, Mockito, integration testing, API testing, code reviews, and automated quality checks

Solution architecture & design:

• Design and refine solution architectures for Java-based SRE tools
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, product managers, and customer stakeholders

Development & engineering:

• Design and engineer end-to-end solutions including Java backend services, REST APIs, databases, frontend applications, monitoring dashboards, alerting workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated tests
• Develop and integrate monitoring and alerting capabilities using Prometheus, PromQL, Grafana, metrics instrumentation, dashboards, and alerting APIs
• Build reliable and observable systems with support for high availability, fault tolerance, retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, rate limiting, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing
• Establish coding standards, testing practices, and engineering guidelines
• Lead code reviews to ensure maintainable, secure, and high-quality software
• Drive the adoption of automated unit, integration, and API testing using tools such as JUnit and Mockito
