Senior Software Engineer (Rust or Python)

DevsData LLC is a US-based trading technology company building automated trading bots and market-signal tools, serving paying users through Discord. The company is developing an internal algorithmic trading system for stocks, options, and futures.

• 5+ years of senior-level professional software development experience
• Hands-on experience with trading or market data (stocks, options, futures, crypto, or prediction markets)
• Strong experience with real-time data processing
• Experience building production systems in Python or Rust
• Proven track record in building reliable, unattended systems with robust error handling, monitoring, and failure recovery
• Ability to make architectural and technology decisions independently
• Demonstrated ownership and self-direction in a small remote team
• Readiness to handle urgent production issues
• Excellent English communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience building Discord bots
• Experience with NautilusTrader or similar algorithmic trading engines
• Experience with the Interactive Brokers API or other broker integrations
• Experience with payment, subscription, or commission tooling (refunds, chargebacks, access control)

• Design and build an internal algorithmic trading system executing strategies on stocks, options, and futures via Interactive Brokers
• Ensure reliable unattended system operation with robust error handling, monitoring, and failure recovery
• Extend system capabilities to prediction markets and digital asset trading on 24-hour markets
• Convert raw trading and market data into clear visual signals for customers
• Develop internal business operation automations, such as sales commission adjustments for refunds and chargebacks
• Build and maintain Discord community management bots that control access for non-paying customers
• Collaborate directly with the company owner on architecture, technology choices, and priorities
• Take end-to-end ownership of systems from architecture through deployment and incident response
• Work with a small non-engineering team to automate sales and community workflows
