Senior Automation Engineer

Falck Digital Technology Poland Sp. z o.o. operates in digital infrastructure and operations, focusing on automation and AI-driven infrastructure engineering, collaborating with third-party providers like HCL.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, IT engineering, or comparable field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in infrastructure engineering, systems architecture, or DevOps with demonstrated transition into the AI space.
• Proven track record of guiding teams through automation transformation programs in a technical lead or equivalent role.
• Working knowledge and preferably hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD platforms.
• Experience with GitHub, Claude, and Copilot Studio.
• Programming and scripting in Python (required), plus knowledge of Go, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with API-driven automation of network fabric, firewalls, and IAM protocols (OAuth, SAML, Active Directory); experience with API integrations is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ITSM and process automation via platform APIs, primarily ServiceNow; experience with Jira Service Management is an advantage.
• Understanding of ML fundamentals, MLOps, and telemetry data analysis including log aggregation and AIOps.
• Experience with enterprise cloud architecture on Azure, containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to advise engineers across teams on technical direction and standards without formal authority.

• Experience working within centralized strategy, architecture, or Center of Excellence teams.
• Automation within ITIL, asset management, or vendor service delivery frameworks.
• Experience with Jira and ITIL frameworks.

• Drive Falck's automation initiatives by engaging with specialized teams within AI, Integration, DevOps Center of Excellence, and Infrastructure Product Teams.
• Advise each team on automation roadmap, engineering direction for shared components, integration patterns, and assess automation maturity without dictating roadmaps.
• Technically review and test automation deliverables from HCL and negotiate best solution design and implementation.
• Deliver hands-on automation connecting infrastructure domains and replacing manual operational steps.
• Design modern CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code architecture using GitOps-based pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions.
• Enable machine-learning-supported automation by building or specifying requirements for data pipelines, telemetry analysis, predictive alerting, anomaly detection, and managing MLOps lifecycle.
• Support automation of operational workflows via platform APIs, focusing on ServiceNow for workflows, assets, incidents, changes, and service delivery metrics.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and vendor capabilities by benchmarking AI, ML, and automation features embedded in infrastructure tooling and documenting recommendations.
