Azure Data Architect - Freelance (Part-time)

• At least 6 years of professional experience in Data & Analytics.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role in complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, data modeling techniques, database design, and data integration flows.
• Experience developing and implementing data governance policies to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging data management trends.
• Ability to design conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business requirements.
• Expertise in data modeling best practices including normalization, denormalization, generalization, and performance optimization.
• Experience with various database technologies such as relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• Knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, data integration technologies, and Big Data solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database, warehouse, and lakehouse platforms.
• Experience designing and implementing data integration solutions, including ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence and data analytics requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and data scientists.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with data profiling, cleansing, harmonization, and quality assessment techniques.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA and related techniques (data encryption, access controls, data masking).
• Professional certification in data management or related fields is advantageous.

• Experience with PySpark, R, and Scala.
• Expertise in Azure Services including Synapse, ADF, and ADL.

• Establish data quality standards and processes.
• Facilitate discussions and workshops to gather requirements and align data initiatives.
• Prepare data inventory documentation.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends.
