QA / Test Automation Engineer

emagine Polska is the hiring company located in Lisbon, specializing in QA / Test Automation engineering.

• Minimum 5 years experience in software quality assurance focused on test automation.
• Hands-on experience with E2E test automation frameworks, ideally Playwright.
• Experience with API/integration testing tools such as Kreya, Postman/Newman, REST Assured.
• Experience in load/performance testing using JMeter or Gatling.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Coordination experience in manual acceptance testing.
• Proficient English communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
• Native Portuguese speaker or minimum C2 level proficiency in Portuguese.

Nice to have:

• Experience with regulatory/compliance certification testing.
• Experience in accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1 AA, Axe).
• Experience with asynchronous or messaging-based systems.
• Experience in regulated environments (public administration, e-government, finance).
• Basic scripting knowledge in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java.

• Design and implement automated end-to-end test suites using Playwright for critical user journeys.
• Develop automated API/integration tests using tools such as Kreya, Postman/Newman, or REST Assured.
• Define and execute about 15 test scenarios per interface against mocks/stubs and staging systems.
• Set up and execute load/performance tests using tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Maintain and extend test concepts aligned with evolving modules.
• Integrate automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline for coverage and quality-gate reporting.
• Coordinate manual User Acceptance Testing with pilot users, structuring scripts and consolidating results.
• Maintain regression tests supporting certification cycles and customer rollout.
• Log and verify defects collaboratively with Backend and Frontend Engineers.

The job requires close collaboration with Backend and Frontend Engineers, Business Analysts, and project management for UAT planning, and may involve communication with pilot users during UAT.
