Lead Software Systems Engineer

Sabre is an AI-native technology leader operating in the travel industry, backed by one of the world’s largest travel data clouds. The company builds open, modular, cloud-native architectures serving airlines, hoteliers, agencies, and partners worldwide. The Order Management System (OMS) team is focused on building high-scale, low-latency, high throughput systems and is undergoing a technology shift with the Sabre Smart Retailing Engine.

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on Java programming experience including Java 17
• Experience and knowledge of open-source software, frameworks, and server-side development in Java 11
• Deep understanding of the Java ecosystem, monitoring, and diagnosis
• Experience with containers, Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong experience with both relational and NoSQL database systems
• Experience in cloud deployments, preferably on GCP
• Expert knowledge of Agile and Lean processes
• Experience in leading development teams or being a technical anchor
• Excellent communication skills in English and Polish

Nice to have:

• Order Management System (OMS) domain knowledge

• Develop, code, test, and debug moderately complex software solutions or enhancements
• Serve as a tech anchor and team lead for a development team
• Collaborate with technical staff to understand and resolve software issues
• Lead technical discussions and propose improvements and enhancements
• Design and code moderately complex applications using advanced technology
• Design, build, and demonstrate prototype applications
• Maintain good understanding of business applications
