Senior DevOps Engineer

Founded in 2012, Anshar Studios focuses on 1st and 3rd party game development for all major gaming platforms. Currently, the company employs over 200 specialists in their studio in Katowice.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Groovy, Bash, PowerShell.
• Experience designing and running highly available CI/CD infrastructures using VMs, containers, on-premises or cloud.
• Solid grasp of server and network fundamentals, performance tuning, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Zabbix.
• Experience with capacity planning and incident response for build farms or critical services.
• Effective communication skills with various stakeholders.
• Mentoring capability and excellent communication skills in English (B2/C1 spoken and written).

Nice to have:

• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of Jenkins and Perforce.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine build workflows and Unreal BuildGraph.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience, e.g., Terraform, Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with Docker.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of security best practices, including SSO, secrets management, and least-privilege policies.

• Architect, implement and continuously improve Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines for Unreal Engine projects, including build-farm provisioning, automated testing & reporting.
• Administer and optimize Perforce: server setup/upgrades, backups, performance tuning, access and stream configuration.
• Configure project build pipelines for automatic validations such as code review validations and code integration checks.
• Scale and manage the build farm with capacity planning and lifecycle automation of agents/VMs (Proxmox) and containerized runners.
• Mentor junior and regular DevOps engineers by providing documentation, training, and best-practice guidelines.
• Evaluate, test and introduce new tools or plugins to enhance reliability, performance, and developer experience.
• Provide first-line support for developers, diagnose VCS or build issues, and ensure smooth communication via Slack and email.
