Podsumowanie oferty

Build features end to end for Egala’s in-house Transport Management System (TMS), used for transport planning, driver workflows and finance operations. Work across its Python/Django backend and React frontend, including integrations with external systems.

Wymagania

3–5 years of professional software development experience, including production experience with Python and Django.
Relational database skills, preferably PostgreSQL, including data modelling, non-trivial SQL, query plans, indexes and safe schema migrations on live data.
Practical frontend experience with React, a state-management library such as MobX or Redux, and modern JavaScript.
Experience integrating third-party APIs using REST and ideally SOAP, including authentication flows such as OAuth2, bearer tokens and API keys, as well as retries and error handling.
Familiarity with asynchronous and scheduled work using Celery or an equivalent task queue, and understanding what should run inside a web request.
Comfortable using Docker, Git and a CI pipeline such as GitLab CI, including debugging a failing pipeline independently.
A testing habit, including unit tests for logic and end-to-end tests for flows.
Ability to navigate and improve a large existing codebase through reading before writing and small, focused merge requests.
Good English (B2/C1); the codebase, tickets, reviews and some team communication are in English. Polish is used day to day in the office.
Clear verbal and written communication, including explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical colleagues and providing concise, regular status updates.
Ownership and a proactive mindset, including noticing problems and proposing fixes.

Nice to have:

Experience in transport, logistics or fleet-management software, such as TMS, telematics, route planning or tachograph/driving-time regulations.
Experience with maps and geospatial work using Leaflet or similar, routing/geocoding APIs such as PTV, Google or HERE, polylines, time zones, distance and toll calculation.
Experience with performance and observability tools such as Sentry, New Relic, PostgreSQL EXPLAIN and Flower for Celery monitoring.
Experience upgrading long-lived Django/React applications across major versions.
Dutch language skills or experience working with a Dutch organisation.
A degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Obowiązki

Build features end to end

Take tickets from the backlog through Django models and migrations, REST endpoints, React/MobX UI, tests and changelog.

Integrate external systems

Connect and maintain integrations with telematics providers, routing and map services, ferry and tunnel operators, tachograph data, Microsoft 365 and accounting software using REST, SFTP and webhooks.

Keep production healthy

Investigate Sentry errors and user-reported incidents, reproduce issues on a staging copy of production data, fix root causes and prevent regressions.

Care about performance

Profile slow queries, design indexes and move work to Celery background tasks on a large PostgreSQL database.

Write and maintain tests

Write Django unit tests for backend logic and Cypress end-to-end tests for user flows.

Review and be reviewed

Participate in merge-request reviews on GitLab, follow and improve team conventions, and help keep the codebase coherent.

Clarify before you build

Ask questions when tickets are unclear, sometimes with dispatchers or finance staff, and propose simpler solutions when appropriate.

Modernise responsibly

Help gradually upgrade Python, Django, React and TypeScript while continuing feature delivery.

Communicate and stay Agile

Provide short, regular updates on progress and blockers, and re-plan when priorities change.

Benefity

Individual training programs and language courses.
Family events and celebrations for employees.
An internal gym, football field and squash courts.
Private medical care and life insurance coverage for you and your loved ones.
Transportation to work from Rondo Rataje.
A My Benefit Program with a choice of benefits from various available options.
A welcome gift and a buddy to support you during your first weeks.
