Design and operate cloud infrastructure connecting onboard train systems with Flix’s backend services. Help take the platform from architecture through production, using AWS, Terraform and Terragrunt, with a focus on secure and reliable train-to-cloud communication.

Wymagania

Hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering and designing and running cloud environments.
Experience with AWS (preferred); experience with another major cloud platform is also welcome.
Strong knowledge of Terraform/Terragrunt for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
Solid understanding of systems architecture and system design, and confidence challenging architectural decisions with clear arguments.
Good knowledge of networking, including mTLS and SSL/TLS.
Foundational security knowledge and ability to apply it in infrastructure decisions.
Ability to lead technical proposals and topics across backend and infrastructure and bring stakeholders along.
Strong critical thinking, including analyzing problems, weighing trade-offs and explaining reasoning clearly.

Nice to have:

Experience with IoT, automotive or other remote device integrations.
Experience as a backend engineer or full-stack developer, ideally in the JVM ecosystem.
Familiarity with Linux and virtual machines.

Obowiązki

Design, build and operate cloud infrastructure connecting onboard train systems with Flix’s backend services, including telemetry ingestion, alerting, video streams and remote content delivery.
Build and maintain the infrastructure-as-code foundation, keeping the Terraform/Terragrunt codebase clean, scalable and easy for others to work with.
Steer technical proposals and topics across backend and infrastructure from initial ideas and design discussions through to production solutions.
Participate in system design and architecture discussions and challenge architectural decisions when there is a better approach.
Define and implement secure communication between trains and the cloud, including mTLS, certificate management and network design.
Work with train manufacturers’ engineers to agree on interfaces, protocols and integration responsibilities.
Collaborate with backend developers and other Flix teams to ensure new services are deployed reliably and are easy to run and monitor.
Help ensure the platform is reliable, observable and secure.
