Podsumowanie oferty

Join the team developing Egala’s in-house Transport Management System (TMS), used for truck and driver planning, mobile operations, and invoicing. You will build and maintain end-to-end features across a Python/Django backend and React frontend, including integrations and tests.

Wymagania

3–5 years of professional software development experience, including production use of Python and Django.
Solid relational database skills; PostgreSQL preferred, including data modelling, writing and reading non-trivial SQL, understanding query plans and indexes, and safe schema migrations on live data.
Practical frontend experience with React and a state-management library such as MobX or Redux, plus modern JavaScript.
Experience integrating third-party APIs using REST and ideally SOAP, including authentication flows, retries, and error handling.
Familiarity with asynchronous and scheduled work using Celery or an equivalent task queue.
Comfortable using Docker, Git, and a CI pipeline such as GitLab CI, including debugging failing pipelines.
Experience writing unit tests and end-to-end tests.
Ability to navigate and improve a large existing codebase.
Good English (B2/C1).
Clear verbal and written communication, including explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical colleagues.
Ownership and a proactive mindset.

Nice to have:

Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet-management software, including TMS, telematics, route planning, or tachograph/driving-time regulations.
Experience with maps and geospatial work, such as Leaflet, routing/geocoding APIs, polylines, time zones, distance, or toll calculation.
Experience with performance and observability tools such as Sentry, New Relic, PostgreSQL EXPLAIN, or Flower for Celery monitoring.
Experience upgrading long-lived Django/React applications across major versions.
Dutch language skills or experience working with a Dutch organisation.
A degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Obowiązki

Build features end to end, from tickets through Django models and migrations, REST endpoints, React/MobX UI, tests, and changelogs.
Integrate and maintain external systems for telematics, routing and maps, ferries and tunnels, tachograph data, Microsoft 365, and accounting using REST, SFTP, and webhooks.
Investigate production errors and incidents, reproduce them on staging, fix root causes, and prevent regressions.
Profile slow queries, design indexes, move work to Celery background tasks, and keep screens fast.
Write and maintain Django unit tests and Cypress end-to-end tests.
Participate in GitLab merge-request reviews and follow and improve team conventions.
Clarify unclear tickets with colleagues or users and propose simpler solutions where appropriate.
Help gradually upgrade Python, Django, and React, and adopt TypeScript, while continuing feature delivery.
Provide regular updates on progress and blockers, and re-plan as priorities change.

Benefity

Individual training programs and language courses.
Family events and celebrations for employees.
Private medical care and life insurance for you and your loved ones.
Transportation to work from Rondo Rataje.
Access to an internal gym, football field, and squash courts.
A welcome gift and a buddy to support you during your first weeks.
