Business Unit Manager

The role is within Spike Reply, focusing on building and leading a new Identity and Access Management (IAM) practice in Poland, specifically based in Katowice. The position involves growing an IAM consulting team, collaborating closely with an international team based in Düsseldorf, and managing multiple client projects in the consulting domain.

Must-have:

• Completed university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable field
• Several years of professional experience including leadership and management of teams, ideally in consulting or professional services, with combined people leadership and project involvement
• Entrepreneurial mindset motivated to build a new unit and team from scratch
• Solid commercial project management skills including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in multi-project environments
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to work with local teams and international leadership and clients
• Strong communication skills in English and Polish
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Germany (mainly Düsseldorf) and client sites

Nice to have:

• Experience in Identity and Access Management and familiarity with IAM platforms such as One Identity Manager, Okta, Auth0, Keycloak, Oracle, Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, Ping Identity
• Experience growing teams from the ground up
• Experience working in international or matrix organizations
• Background in operations and ITIL certification
• Project or program management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master)
• Awareness of compliance and audit frameworks (GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001)
• German language skills

• Build and head a new Business Unit in Poland, growing the team to up to 10 IAM consultants and engineers over the coming 12-month period
• Take on professional and disciplinary leadership: recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and career development
• Develop IAM competencies within the team through targeted growth and skill acquisition
• Manage budget, timeline, and successful delivery including staffing plans, utilization, forecasts, and reporting
• Plan and steer assignments across multiple client engagements balancing delivery and capacity
• Supervise project delivery and report on KPIs in an agile, international environment
• Support proposal and bid work with effort estimates and staffing concepts
• Stay hands-on by supporting and steering projects across the full IAM lifecycle including assessments, technology scouting, integration, implementation, data migration, and operations
• Support operational run of IAM platforms including troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate closely with Düsseldorf project leads and architects using shared tools (Jira, Confluence) and transparent reporting
