Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
• Over 12 years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or technical leadership.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring technical professionals.
• Hands-on experience using AI in the software development lifecycle.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Python, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, DLT, and GitLab.
• Strong background with Big Data technologies and Data Warehouses.
• Experience building scalable batch and streaming data pipelines processing high-volume datasets.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Azure), Unix/Linux environments, and shell scripting.
• Expertise in designing high-performance applications focusing on throughput, scalability, reliability, and latency.
• Skilled in automated testing, CI/CD implementation, and modern engineering practices.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, or other database technologies.
• Experience working across multiple cloud providers beyond Azure.
• Relevant cloud, data engineering, or Databricks certifications.

• Lead the design and development of scalable data platforms, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions using Databricks, Python, Spark, Delta Lake, and DLT.
• Architect and optimize high-volume batch and streaming data pipelines for near real-time analytics.
• Drive technical leadership, mentor engineers, and establish best practices for software development, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and GitLab-based delivery processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prototype data solutions and evolve them into production-ready platforms with strong non-functional requirements.
• Apply AI solutions throughout the software development lifecycle and promote continuous learning to improve engineering productivity and product quality.
